A couple’s wedding day is one of the most important days of their lives. It is something that they will remember forever, as will their friends and family who attend. However, weddings are so often from the same mold as every other wedding: the same type of dress, the same songs, the same wedding cake, all with only small variations. Couples can decorate both the site of their ceremony and their reception in ways that bring their theme to life. Added touches like arriving at the reception in a horse-drawn carriage instead of a car or limousine all help to make the day special. Giving favors to their guests that incorporate the theme add to the day and give guests something to take with them to help them remember the day for many years.
Style of dress is a great way to incorporate a theme into a wedding. Couples should choose attire for themselves and their wedding party that will be in keeping with the theme. They do not have to fall into the same old white bridal gown, tuxedos and ugly bridesmaid dress rut! Branching out into other ideas, like Celtic or western style dresses, movie costumes and sports jerseys are all different and fun ways to eschew tradition and carry on the theme. They can bring their guests into the fun by announcing the theme on the invitations and encouraging guests to dress in the theme.
Making a Themed Wedding Unique
During the reception, entertainment that fits in the wedding theme, like bands, dancers and other performers, lighten up the party and keep the guests entertained—particularly the ones who do not dance.
Putting together a themed wedding can be a lot of fun, and couples can decide how much money to spend and how thoroughly to incorporate the theme. However they decide to do it and whatever theme they choose, their themed wedding is bound to be a unique and special way to begin their new life with each other.
